Cladding systems

Eden Arc buildings are designed to be finished with a Thermawood cladding system, that is not only beautiful, but also close to zero-maintenance.

Thermawood is carefully selected redwood, sustainably sourced from sawmills across Finland and then treated in the UK by our chosen supplier Millworks. The wood is exposed to high temperatures (180–240°C) in a controlled environment with limited oxygen. This process removes moisture, which makes it more stable and resistant to swelling, shrinking or warping and also reduces the wood’s tendency to take up and retain moisture.

The cladding can be provided in a range of colours, from a raw effect which will silver over time, to a deep but warm black that offers a striking finish that will last for decades.

We include the full supply and installation of the cladding as standard. It is also possible to mix colours creating a contrast between the canopy area the main structure.

Roof finishes

All our buildings have crisp, contemporary roof design and finish. Whether it’s a rounded corner or sharp edged eaves detail, the choice of roofing material is integral to Eden Arc styling and architecture.

For example, as standard our Alp is supplied and finished with either the same cladding system as the walls, providing a contemporary seamless eaves to roof design, or a simple slate roof finish to complement a sharp wall cladding system.

Incorporating a concealed gutter and downpipe system, each building type has its own styling characteristics, but all are designed to maintain clean roof lines by including rain water disposal within the construction build-up.

All Eden Arc buildings are engineered to allow for extra weight on the roof that can be exploited to allow for locating solar panels, and the installation of a living roof feature.

There are numerous benefits to incorporating a living roof, ranging from improving planning prospects, to increasing thermal efficiency and acoustic properties, through to supporting a diverse habitat for bees and butterflies – and not least creating a striking visual effect.

Interior finishes

Whilst each project is unique in its specification and styling, we have developed our own palette of finishes consistent with our design ethos, including floor and wall finishes, ceiling systems, joinery and sanitaryware.

Seeking the perfect balance between ease and speed of installation, longevity and sustainability and a striking visual and tactile result, Eden Arc has selected specific products for use in our structures.

Designed to sit on underfloor heating, our turnkey solution exploits the properties of wood-effect ceramic tiles, but this can easily be replaced with bespoke engineered wood flooring or carpets throughout.

Wall panel systems are used extensively including acoustic slat wall products, durable and stunning stone wall materials, mural style wallpaper and large scale ceramic tiling for impressive bathroom finishes.

In vaulted areas of our buildings or in large open spaces, we exploit the rapid installation time and perfect finish only achievable with cutting edge stretch ceiling solutions.

Joinery and fittings

A selection of high quality kitchens and bespoke fitted wardrobes demonstrate beautiful joinery transforms any space into something special.

Sanitaryware is selected for form and function, combined with the large scale ceramic wall finishes, to create the perfect bathrooms for walk in showers with rain heads or free standing baths.

The brands we believe offer the perfect combination of quality and price include RAK Ceramics, Glamora and Nature Wall. We utilise these products in our hotel rooms and our own turnkey developments and have used them as a benchmark for what you can achieve within budget for our Shell & Core Plus package.
